I LOVE THIS SONG!
I AM LITERALLY
OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
So, for now, I will make a fan-fiction story,
based on the song, "Heat-Haze Days",
"Kagerou Days", or "カゲロウデイズ".
Music by Shizennoteki-P.
By the way, I love this PV more than the Original PV.
Favorite chorus version? This one.
I wonder, why do I fall in love with:
1) Depressing VOCALOID songs
2) Bloody VOCALOID songs
3) Crazy VOCALOID songs
Whatever. ( ̄ω ̄)
Now onto my sad fan-fiction.
(The bolded sentences are English translated lyrics.
Please credit Akaruka and animeyay. English and Romaji lyrics here.)
Yes, this fan-fiction is based on the PV that a linked first,
not the original...
WARNING, PG-13!
CONTAINS BLOOD AND GORE.

It happened at around 12:30 PM on August 15. I looked at my iPhone in my right hand. The wallpaper were in the vivid colors of blue and white, and the weather was nice. Showered in sunlight bright enough to make me feel ill, I, having nothing to do, was chattering with you. We sat side by side on the swing, and I tightly held on to the metal chain, shoving back the electronic in my pocket. You smiled sweetly as we continued our conversation. You wore a short sleeved shirt underneath that black, thinly strapped dress. I remember ever single detail that replayed over and over. A black, shining bracelet made a small clink as you grasped onto the chain that connected the fastener to the old red seat. The seat's wood were cracked and some of the red paint were cracked and chipped off. I shuffled my feet in the dirt below.
"But I think I kinda hate summer."
While caressing a cat, you muttered brazenly.
"Why do you say that?"
I question so, as I lean forward to look at you. You innocently ponder, then laugh lightly and quietly. A hint of sadness was there, now that I look back to it. Still cuddling that black cat in you arms we laughed an talked, not minding the next step took. Ah, chasing after your runaway cat, you found yourself plunged before a red traffic light. The monochrome striped sidewalk was burning in the scorching sun. In the blink of an eye, I saw that crimson foe spread across the rough sidewalk. A passing truck suddenly ran you over and drove away, while I screamed. I began sobbing at the color of splashed blood mixed with your scent. The scene remained still for a while in front of my own eyes. The truck's glass shattered, stained in blood. My eyesight seemed to still remember that stain and followed me everywhere as I panicked, flashing my eyes everywhere around me. The heat haze was sneering at me, reminding me that it wasn't a joke. I blacked out at the cicadas' noises that were disturbing the surface of the summer lake. The bracelet bounces off the pavement and lands with a glass breaking shatter. Fragments and shards fly and I watch the scene move in slow motion. Salty raindrops drown into the red sea quickly, one after another. My eyes squint in the bright, stinging sun rays that hurt my bloodshot eyes. I froze in fear and despair, shivering in disbelief. My long, bony fingers ran down my face, slowly clenching into fists.
When I came back to my senses in a bed, I hear the echoing sound of a clock's hands. What time is it? The hands of the clock point to a little past midnight on August 15. I gasp for breath and realize it was all a dream. I remember the annoying noises of the cicadas. I stare down at my shoes, trying to forget that frightening dream. I should rather call it a "nightmare". You ask if something was wrong, but I replied no, and you shrugged it off easily. But wow, it's kinda mysterious. I shudder once and hear the pounding of a living heart within me. I remember the dream I had yesterday in the same park. You hold the same black cat in your arms. The cat somehow glares at me with its' red eyes. It stares and I look away. As we stand up, the cat pounces away. You begin to step out with your right foot. I grab your arm and whisper roughly, loud enough for you to hear me. I spot the bracelet on your skinny wrist and shake my head, trying to forget. I watch the heat waves stir the black shadow on the granite sidewalk.
"We should go home for today."
Without asking me questions, we quietly walked together as you strutted behind me. I grit my teeth, trying not to quiver. When I was on my way, the people around me were all looking up with their mouths gaping. You quickly grasp at you dress and I turn around. I was about to ask, till you suddenly rush past me. A falling metal pole pierced through you. A tearing shriek and the sound of wind chimes echo through the trees. I saw the same maroon ooze fly past me. The pavement rings as more metal poles crash down. Your raven hair fling out into the air. The black cat's eyes were on me, but I didn't dare turn around. I watch and reach out, knowing that it was too late. A boy of my mirror image makes a few gestures and pulls me back. I couldn't see his face, but I saw an evil grin flash and he disintegrated. The heat haze was sneering at me, reminding me that it wasn't a joke. Through my darkening eyes, I thought I saw you smile. The scenery around me turned darker than black. Tears were pulled back.
I rushed out the door with black bags under my eyes, frightened that you would be tainted in red yet again. My face was pale, and every step I took to you were heavy. I grabbed you arm as soon as we met at the park on the bench, you kept asking questions but I ignored it all, climbing the stairs to cross the road above. I screamed something I don't remember, and saw that same heat haze that kept reappearing. I gulped, and widened my eyes, and you... You lost balance and let go. Reaching out your hand, gravity pulled you down and made you submerge to death. The heat haze was leaning back on the metal railing, smiling and dissapearing yet again.
The sneering heat haze plunders away one darkened world after another. It's been repeating for tens of years. Matches, scissors, ropes, metal bats, hand prints on your neck... The deaths you've experienced, seemed like a real life how-to of a thousand ways to die. I cried endlessly, and repeated my hoarse shout that no longer can be heard. You probably have noticed by now. This kind of frequently told story has only one ending, but it can be found beyond those repeating summer days.
Then we returned to that first day where I first saw the blood spill out in tremendous amounts. When I pushed you aside and jumped in, the truck slammed into me. I couldn't feel pain, but I sadly smiled. The color of my splashed blood reflected off your eyes and your robotic body. The seemingly annoyed heat haze was laughing, as though saying "Take that!" You gasped, holding two hands over your mouth, eyes widening, tears spilling out in oceans. Speechless, I fell to my death. Goodbye.
* * *
It's quite a regular summer day for me. But something has come to an end this time. Awakening on August 14 in a bed, a girl, hugging her cat alone. She said,
"It didn't work again."

I'm so sorry if I scared you...
But how was it?
Oh, and again, there's no time for Planetarium,
chapter one...
There's always tomorrow, right?
