$1 Manga: Platinum Garden

A new manga obsession? Not necessarily.
But I went to Bookoff and bought 11 volumes of Platinum Garden...
Only for $1 each! Sadly, it's in Japanese.
I mean, I can read it, but my American friends can't...
The first, let's see, 25 pages was really intresting.
Here is what just happened.

Kazumi Enomoto, probably a highschool girl,
had just been thrown into a random guy's house.
Why? Well that's because her grandfather passed away,
and is sold to a guy, who's name is Mizuki Magahara,
that lives in a house to pay off her grandfather's debts to this family.
Kazumi doesn't understand why she's not there to work as slave,
but instead becomes Mizuki's fiancee.

Though most of the manga are in Japanese,
Bookoff has a lot of manga you can stand and read in English,
so I would suggest going there if you are a manga-lover.

Art and story belongs to Maki Fujita.

Volume One of Platinum Garden.
Scanned by me.

  1. Ah, cuute.
I wish I had a big fancy book store where I live!
All I got is a crappy old bookstore run by a creepy guy, (;A;) Small town living has its pros and cons.
    And you know Japanese?
That's awesome. I'm currently teaching it to myself. ^_^

    1. Thanks!
But really, writing in Japanese is a pain!
Japanese caligraphy MUST have more than 500 Chinese characters/symbols!
      Pronunciation for Japanese is hard,
      especially when youspeak English.
Spanish people do quite well at pronunciating Japanese, since the way they say the vowels are similar to Japanese people when they talk and write phonetically!

      Thanks anyways!
